We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Research and Development Assistant Manager to join our team in London, United Kingdom. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and executing tax research projects, with a focus on R&D tax incentives and credits.
Lead and coordinate tax research projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs
Analyse complex tax issues and provide well-reasoned solutions to clients and team members
Stay abreast of changes in UK tax legislation, particularly those related to R&D tax credits
Manage and mentor junior team members, overseeing their work and professional development
Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients when necessary
Prepare and review technical reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders
Contribute to the development of new service offerings and methodologies in R&D tax
Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive tax solutions to clients
Ensure compliance with internal quality control procedures and professional standards
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or related field
Previous experience in tax research and development
Proven experience in managing projects and teams
Advanced knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, particularly those related to R&D
Expertise in UK tax legislation and HMRC guidelines
Proficiency in tax research software and databases
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
In-depth understanding of R&D tax incentives and credits
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
