Role Overview:

This is a full-time, lab-based position with an office joined to the lab space for write-ups. We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our R&D team. This role is ideal for a "jack of all trades" with a "can-do" attitude and a genuine willingness to learn and explore multidisciplinary challenges across chemistry and microbiology. You'll play a crucial role in advancing our innovative antimicrobial technologies, requiring you to think outside the box, learn new skills, and experiment creatively.

The primary focus will be to contribute to the progress of the team's R&D efforts by preparing samples (involving a mix of chemistry and engineering principles) and performing subsequent microbiology testing. We understand that you may not have all these skills from day one, and training will be provided. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with foundational laboratory experience to develop a diverse skill set within a cutting-edge biotech startup.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct R&D experiments involving wet chemistry and engineering to develop antimicrobial materials. Perform microbiology testing on samples, including bacterial culture and efficacy assays. Maintain accurate lab records and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Communicate experimental progress and results to the team regularly. Contribute to lab organisation and troubleshoot experimental issues.
