Purpose of Role

The Reactive Lead Technician is responsible for delivering urgent and planned works to a high standard, leading by example on-site and supporting technicians where required. This role requires flexibility, with regular out-of-hours (OOH) and weekend cover, and the ability to be redeployed from planned/project works to urgent reactive jobs at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

Respond rapidly to reactive and emergency jobs, including OOH, evenings, and weekends.

Lead technicians and agency staff on-site to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.

Carry out cleaning, waste, and related services in line with RAMS and company standards.

Ensure all company equipment, vehicles, and PPE are used safely and maintained.

Accurately log job details, timings, and updates using company tablets.

Provide training, support, and guidance for technicians and new starters.

Deputise for colleagues and support the Service Manager with punctuality, communication, and operational standards.

Conduct vehicle safety checks and ensure vans are clean, stocked, and secure.

Maintain positive relationships with customers, always acting professionally.

Support operational debriefs and feedback sessions to improve service delivery.

Adhere strictly to Health & Safety, Quality, and compliance requirements.

Skills & Experience

Proven ability to lead and support teams in fast-paced, reactive environments.

Previous experience in delivering both planned and reactive works.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise under pressure.

Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence.

Calm and confident when managing staff or client issues.

Good attention to detail with strong time management skills.

Full UK driving licence essential.

Additional Requirements

Regular participation in OOH and weekend rota.

Flexibility to be reassigned from planned/project works to reactive jobs when required.

Commitment to continuous training and safe working practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,800.00-38,000.00 per year
