Myers Readymix are recruiting for a

Shipping & Planning Coordinator

to join our Readymix Concrete business at our Head Office in Huddersfield which is a

full time and permanent position.

The duties and key responsibilities include:

Dealing with customers enquiries quickly and professionally to meet customer expectations in a fast-paced working environment. Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced working environment. Scheduling customers on our shipping system whilst maximising vehicle utilisation. Providing our company drivers with clear direction Deal with customers complaints, promptly and professionally and defuse situations with diplomacy. Utilise our vehicle telematics systems to ensure we run an efficient fleet. Administer driver and team holidays, to ensure adequate resource is available

To become our Shipping & Planning Coordinator we are looking for the following skills, experience and attributes

:

An individual that has strong communication skills, both verbal and written Experience dealing with customers, ideally in a customer service / shipping role Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure. An understanding of the industry, coupled with concrete knowledge is beneficial but not essential. Must be flexible with hours, start and finish times will fluctuate daily between 6am and 5pm plus some occasional Saturday cover. Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative, Excellent customer services, professional polite phone manner. PC literate, Office 365, Teams, order taking software.
