-Lead and coordinate all real estate and facility-related activities for expansion projects, from initial assessment and planning to execution and post-migration validation.
-Identify, evaluate, and secure sites that meet the capacity ,rigorous power, cooling, networking requirements for expansion. Conduct thorough due diligence, assessing environmental conditions, zoning regulations, and ownership structures.
-Negotiate new lease agreements, manage existing contracts, and oversee sublease agreements, ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
-Act as the primary liaison between facilities teams, internal IT teams, network personnel, facilities management, legal, and third-party vendors (architects, general contractors, equipment suppliers) to ensure alignment and clear communication throughout the migration lifecycle.
-Budgeting & Financial Management: Develop and manage detailed project budgets and financial forecasts, including capital and operational expenses related to site acquisition, construction, and migration activities.
-Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent data loss, ensure security, and minimize operational disruptions or downtime during migration. Ensure all activities comply with local building codes, safety standards, and relevant industry certifications.
-Select, onboard, and manage third-party consultants and vendors, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are met.
-Maintain detailed project documentation, track progress against established milestones, and provide regular status reports to senior management and executive sponsors.
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in real estate or property management, with at least 3-5 years of specific project management experience in data center operations or migration projects.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of mission-critical systems, including electrical distribution, HVAC, UPS, and fire suppression systems, and their installation requirements.
Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and power metering systems.
Understanding of structured cabling systems, networking, and connectivity standards.
