40 hours per week, working 5 days over 7

Shift Patterns:



7:00am - 3:00pm 3:00pm - 11:00pm 9:00am - 5:00pm

Job Overview



We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Hotel Reception & Reservations Assistant to join the team at the Garfield House Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent guest service at reception while efficiently managing hotel reservations and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities



Welcoming guests in a professional and courteous manner Handling guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently Managing room reservations, amendments, and cancellations Answering telephone and email enquiries promptly and accurately Processing payments and maintaining accurate records Providing guests with information about hotel services and local attractions Resolving guest queries or concerns in a calm and professional manner Liaising with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional reception area Adhering to hotel policies, procedures, and data protection standards

Skills & Experience



Previous experience in hotel reception or reservations (preferred but not essential) Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Confident using computer systems and booking software Flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends
