Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging educational activities. This role requires a passion for early childhood education and the ability to manage a classroom effectively, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their learning journey.

Duties



Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the developmental needs of children in the reception class. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that meet the needs of all learners. Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and external agencies regarding children's welfare and progress. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive interactions among children. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Skills



Strong management and leadership skills to guide children in their learning journey. Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A background in childcare or early years education is highly desirable. Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting resources or attending off-site activities.
