Receptionist/care Navigator

Job Description

Orsett Surgery and Branch are looking for a dedicated and friendly Receptionist/Care Navigator to join our busy Practice.

The role of Receptionist/Care Navigator involves being the first port of call for our patients, dealing with queries as part of our professional and resilient frontline reception team.

The hours of work will be:

Monday - 15:00 - 19:00

Thursday - 15:00 - 19:00

Friday - 10:00 - 19:00 (this may be subject to change)

Main duties include

Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers' request appropriately, and signposting patients to the correct service Process telephone and e-requests for appointments Clinically code data in medical records Input data into patient's medical records Direct requests for information, i.e., SAR, insurance / solicitors' letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team Monitor and action tasks internally and externally Monitor the reception email and respond / action accordingly Print out blood test forms Photocopy documentation as required Data entry of temporary registrations

About the candidate:



We are looking for an organised, motivated, friendly individual to join our team with the following attributes:

Excellent communication skills, with a clear, polite telephone manner Strong IT and administrative skills Knowledge of the SystmOne clinical system is desirable but not essential as training will be given Confident to work as a team member and autonomously Experience of working with the general public in a polite, confidential, discrete and respectful manner at all times Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable Flexibility is desirable, as you will sometimes be required to work additional hours to cover colleagues.

We are a 7,500+ list-size dispensing and training practice, with 3 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 Registrars/Trainee GPs, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Healthcare Assistant, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 1 Physician's Associate, an administrative team and a dispensing team.
