Working hours and training requirements:



Working Hours:

Full time rotational shifts between 8am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday

Training:

This will be conducted in the office over a minimum of 6 weeks, once this is completed you will move to a hybrid way of working. The team will work from the office 10 days a month.



About the role:



As a Reconciliation Specialist within Payment Operations, you will work closely with various teams across the Bank to ensure accurate processing of customer transactions and the timely reconciliation of cash and suspense accounts.



Responsibilities:



Performing daily account reconciliations within Payment Operations.. Recognising and resolving unreconciled customer transaction breaks across the bank's ledgers and suspense accounts. Collaborating with multiple teams, including but not limited to; Payment Associates, Engineers, Fincrime, Treasury Back office, to ensure payments have been posted to customer's accounts correctly and all the supporting entries have cleared. Taking ownership of reconciliation issues, whilst ensuring that appropriate escalations are carried out. Coordinating and assisting internal bank teams with investigations and efficient incident resolution. Actively seeking to improve processes and workflows. Identifying and driving improvements in risk controls. Maintaining existing and creating new procedural documentation.

Requirements:



Willingness to learn and develop knowledge in reconciliations key-systems and processes. Confidence liaising with other departments when escalating issues and reaching out for solutions. Ability to manage the workload and prioritise tasks. Proficiency in applying strong analytical and investigative skills. Aptitude for demonstrating high attention to detail. Detail and process oriented and comfortable working with large volumes of data and numbers. Good understanding in reconciliations principles. Knowledge in Payment Schemes and MT/MX Payment messages Intermediate Excel / Google Sheets skills (min req level).
