Job Advert
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with police information, records & evidence. The successful candidate would be part of a team responsible for providing an effective archive service to both forces, including retention, review and disposal of records (electronic, paper, tape, microfilm, and frozen samples) and other archived Force assets. The role includes working at height (4.2m), using manual handling or powered and unpowered equipment. You would also be required to use our warehouse management software and other systems to catalogue and manage incoming material along with maintaining our collections over their lifespan.


You would be expected to undertake and regularly refresh all of the mandatory training listed below and work as part of a successful, highly effective and supportive team of police professionals. You will have ongoing development in the latest legislation and processes around data protection, records & information management and evidence handling. This is in addition to many personal development opportunities.

Good customer service and communications skills are required together with attention to detail and deadlines. You will be IT literate in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to manipulate data from a variety of sources and databases. Maintaining a high degree of integrity and trust is essential as you will be dealing with sensitive and classified information. A good standard of education is required with excellent numeric and literacy skills.
