Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility and safety while operating various types of vehicles, including a tilt and slide recovery truck and van. This role is essential for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the operation of our logistics processes. The Driver will be expected to communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure a high level of service.

Duties

Operate flatbed and tilt and slide lorries and vans for the delivery of vehicles to various locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport. Communicate effectively with staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Provide basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues as they arise. some valeting will be required for vehicles prior to delivery along with delivery inspection

Qualifications

Valid driving license with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving (class 2). maximum 3 points Previous experience as a Delivery/recovery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with recovery vehicles is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues is desirable, along with ability to carry out repairs Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 13.50-16.00 per hour
