Recruitment Coordinator
on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a key opportunity for someone with a passion for volunteer engagement and community impact, especially in supporting warehouse operations and festival-related activities.
About the Role
As a Recruitment Coordinator, you will lead the charge in recruiting and retaining volunteers across two busy warehouse operations in
Batley
and
Milton Keynes
. Your mission: to ensure operational shifts are fully staffed, volunteers are well-prepared, and retention is high through meaningful engagement and recognition.
This role includes a focus on
festival-related activity
, with opportunities for volunteers to support exciting national events. You will also help shape the long-term strategy for sustainable volunteer engagement, ensuring the legacy of your work extends beyond this fixed-term post.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver robust volunteer recruitment plans tailored to warehouse operations and event support.
Build a long-term volunteer resourcing and engagement strategy using existing and new networks.
Create engaging marketing materials to support volunteer outreach campaigns.
Deliver effective volunteer inductions, with a focus on preparing them for warehouse and festival-related responsibilities.
Implement volunteer retention strategies that include recognition, communication, and opportunities for continued engagement.
Support volunteer motivation, inclusion, and wellbeing across both warehouse sites.
Monitor recruitment metrics to ensure KPI targets are met and operational needs are fulfilled.
Coordinate all associated administration and ensure all records, communications, and reporting are accurate and compliant with organisational policies.
Collaborate with internal departments, local communities, and external partners to promote the volunteering programme and drive visibility in the area.

Essential Skills & Experience
Experience in volunteer recruitment, community engagement, or similar coordination roles.
Ability to plan and deliver structured recruitment and induction programmes.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfortable using email, databases, and social media platforms.
Ability to analyse data and use recruitment metrics to guide performance and improvements.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
A proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach.
Strong time management and self-motivation.
Desirable
Experience working with volunteers in a warehouse, retail, or event/festival setting.
Knowledge of Health & Safety in an operational environment.
Awareness of safeguarding practices in a voluntary or not-for-profit context.
Additional Information
This role may require
occasional travel
between Batley and Milton Keynes.
You'll play a hands-on role in the lead-up to major festival-related activities.
You will report to the eCommerce Manager (Batley), with a dotted line to the Volunteering Team.
