The purpose of the Recruitment Administrator role is to provide comprehensive end-to-end management of the recruitment function, ensuring a smooth, professional, and efficient hiring process. The role is essential in coordinating key recruitment activities, supporting candidate and client engagement, and maintaining compliance with internal and external hiring standards.
Role Expectations
Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive candidate and employee information
Meet deadlines and ensure prompt scheduling, communication, and documentation throughout the recruitment lifecycle
Demonstrate attention to detail in managing data, preparing documents, and updating systems
Proactively identify and resolve administrative issues to keep recruitment activities running smoothly
Communicate clearly and effectively with candidates, recruiters, managers, and third parties
Be flexible and responsive to changing priorities, volume fluctuations, and new processes or tools
Take ownership of assigned tasks, seek process improvements, and contribute to recruitment projects as needed
Ensure all activities are conducted in line with company policies, data protection legislation, and employment law
Further Requirements
Proven experience in an administrative, or recruitment support role
Proven experience in outbound/inbound calling
Proven experience of working from home and/or a Hybrid arrangement
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Bullhorn)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong time management and multitasking abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Knowledge of employment law and recruitment best practices (desirable)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Professional and approachable demeanour
Right to work in the UK
Knowledge of Civil Engineering, Rail, Construction, FM (all desirable)
