Get hands-on with recruitment in a large public sector organisation and build real experience in candidate engagement, compliance checks and stakeholder support.
In this fast-paced and varied role, you'll be the friendly face and organised brain behind our recruitment processes. From writing job adverts and supporting managers, to answering candidate queries and making sure all the paperwork runs smoothly, you'll make sure every step of the journey is professional, seamless, and positive.
Think of yourself as the connector: between candidates, managers, schools, agencies and partners. You'll help ensure that the right people land in the right roles - and that their first impression of working with us is a great one.
What you'll do
You'll be the first point of contact for candidates applying to work with the council, giving you valuable experience in customer service and candidate engagement.
Managing pre-employment checks will sharpen your attention to detail and understanding of compliance, while supporting recruiting managers will build your knowledge of the full recruitment lifecycle.
What you'll need
Experience in a customer-facing recruitment environment, with a focus on delivering excellent service
A natural communicator
- confident with candidates, managers, and agencies alike.
Good understanding of recruitment processes and business administration in a large organisation
Strong organisational skills and detail driven, juggling deadlines doesn't scare you.
A real passion for customer centricity, you care about creating a great experience for everyone
Comfortable with e-systems, MS Office, and social media platforms.

Salary:
The salary band for this role is 28,792 - 31,022. The
starting salary is 28,792
with annual progression through the salary bands.
