Recruitment Coordinator

Working Style: Flexible \xe2\x80\x93 fully agile

Location: Flexible (within Cheshire West and Chester borough) Core Team are based at the HQ office in Chester

Recruiting the best candidates with the right values at the right time is a key enabler to achieving our vision and we are therefore investing in a new pivotal role of Recruitment Coordinator.

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused recruitment coordinator who will help us to attract the best candidates and maintain a consistently excellent candidate experience for all.

The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating a timely and professional end to end recruitment process for opportunities at all levels within the Directorate, including:

  • Advertising vacancies in the most effective way to attract the best candidates possible for opportunities, using approved platforms.
  • Working with colleagues in digital communications to maximise vacancy marketing on social media channels and appropriate recruitment campaigns.
  • Managing candidate responses in a timely and professional manner
  • Organising interview dates and panels and communicating well with candidates to ensure a positive experience
  • Processing conditional offers as soon as verbal offers made
  • Organising verbal references and collecting information required to process DBS checks
  • Administering DBS checks
  • Administering new starters on our ERP system unit4
  • Maintaining contact with candidates and new starters throughout the process to ensure retention
  • Organising appropriate technical kit for new starters to ensure available in line with start date agreed.
Organisational skills are a must as is the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines, along with a passion to bring innovation to the role and be an ambassador for working for the Council. You will have a can-do approach to your work, be solution focused and confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders including internal hiring managers and external applicants. You will be joining a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential.
