As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Recruiter and Onboarding Specialist to join our dynamic team.

The Role



The Recruitment & HR Manager will work from the Head Office. You will be responsible for leading the Home Care recruitment efforts, overseeing Home Care HR operations, and ensuring that we attract, hire, and retain top talent to deliver exceptional care to our clients. You will have a passion for recruitment, a strong understanding of HR practices, and ideally experience working in the health and social care sector.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all candidates, and supporting new hires through their induction and onboarding journey.

As a Recruitment & HR Manager for a growing home care business, you will play a key role in ensuring we attract, hire, and retain top talent to deliver exceptional care to our clients. You will lead the recruitment process from start to finish, developing strategies to source high-quality care workers and office staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as those set by the CQC. You will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all candidates, and supporting new hires through their induction and onboarding journey.

Your role will involve managing the onboarding and training processes, ensuring new hires are fully integrated and equipped for success. In addition, you will handle all HR-related tasks, including employee relations, performance management, disciplinary procedures, and policy implementation, while ensuring adherence to UK employment law and GDPR regulations. You will work closely with senior management to develop workforce plans that align with the company's growth goals and maintain a positive work environment through employee engagement and retention strategies. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to compliance, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities



1.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

:

o Develop and implement a strategic recruitment plan to attract high-quality care workers, office staff, and management roles.

o Create and manage job postings across various platforms and coordinate recruitment campaigns.

o Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including shortlisting, interviewing, and making offers.

o Build relationships with local job centres, universities, and other talent sources to create a pipeline of potential candidates.

o Ensure all candidates meet regulatory and compliance standards in line with CQC (Care Quality Commission) requirements.

o Follow safer recruitment practices.

2.

Onboarding & Training

:

o Oversee and manage the new employee onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.

o Collaborate with the training team to identify and address any training needs for care workers and other staff.

o Ensure all employees receive regular updates on policies and compliance training.

3.

HR Management

:

o Assist management team with employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and company policies.

o Assist with performance management processes, supervision, appraisals, and employee development plans.

o Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

o Maintain and update employee records in line with GDPR regulations.

o Implement employee engagement and retention strategies to create a positive working environment.

4.

HR Strategy & Workforce Planning

:

o Work closely with senior management to develop workforce plans aligned with the company's growth goals.

o Monitor and report on recruitment and retention KPIs, adjusting strategies as needed.

o Keep up to date with changes in employment law and HR best practices to ensure policies remain compliant.

What We're Looking For



Proven experience in recruitment, preferably within the healthcare or home care sector. Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations, particularly in the care industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and internal teams. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive approach with a passion for delivering a positive candidate experience.
