About the Role

We're looking for someone to join our team as a Recruitment & Onboarding Advisor to support our Production businesses across James Hall & Co. Ltd., including Clayton Park Bakery, Alston Dairy, Fazila Foods and James Hall Production.



In this role, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for a wide range of production and manufacturing roles. Acting as the main point of contact for production recruitment, you will work closely with hiring managers to attract, select and onboard high-quality candidates, while helping us drive down agency usage and strengthen workforce stability.



This is a busy and varied role, ideal for someone who is organised, confident, and passionate about delivering a great candidate and manager experience.



Here's What You Can Expect to be Doing

As the Recruitment & Onboarding Advisor (Production & Manufacturing), you will:



Manage the full recruitment cycle from vacancy briefing through to job offer and onboarding handover. Publish and promote engaging job adverts that reflect our brand and values. Screen applications, shortlist candidates and coordinate interviews. Provide timely communication and feedback to candidates and managers. Support and run recruitment events, open days and on-site assessments to build strong talent pipelines. Build effective relationships with production managers across multiple sites. Provide guidance on recruitment best practice, compliance and selection methods. Maintain accurate records and data within the Applicant Tracking System. Act as the central contact for recruitment agencies: ensuring compliance and supporting the reduction of agency usage. Record and maintain accurate recruitment metrics Ensure all recruitment activity aligns with employment legislation, GDPR and equal opportunities standards.

Experience

Experience in a role requiring strong customer service, communication or stakeholder engagement (e.g., admin, hospitality, retail, service desk, coordination roles). Experience managing a busy workload and prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management. Ability to build credibility and influence managers. High attention to detail, especially when handling data.

Personal Attributes

Professional, approachable and confident. Self-motivated, proactive and adaptable. Committed to fairness, confidentiality and integrity.

Other Requirements

Full UK driving licence. Access to own vehicle (when a pool car isn't available). Willingness to travel to multiple production sites. Flexibility with working hours.
