Full time starting salary is normally in the range \xc2\xa334,980 to \xc2\xa344,263, with potential progression once in post to \xc2\xa346,974

Grade 7

Full Time Fixed Term contract up to 2 years

Background

The Recruitment Team Leader role is pivotal to the HR Function and provides support to the central recruitment team. The purpose of the role is to oversee the work of the recruitment team, engage with multiple stakeholders and ensure end to end recruitment transactions are appropriately delivered against the agreed service and quality standards. The role will also take a lead on driving process improvements across our recruitment activities and driving innovation in our approaches to attracting the best people to work at the University

Reporting into the Recruitment Manager, within the Central Staff Hub, the role will coordinate a team of Recruitment advisors and coordinators.

Role Summary

This role operates within an integrated HR Services function, supporting colleagues across HR in delivering services to the University.

  • To provide, review and continually improve recruitment transactional solutions to meet customer needs.
  • To work with stakeholders to provide advice, guidance and training on recruitment best practice in line with University policies, recruitment strategies and initiatives.
  • Design, develop and monitor service standards relating to recruitment outputs.
  • Manage and support the HR Recruitment team in meeting all service requirements through effective customer service focus and work allocation/planning.
  • Support the development of Recruitment Advisors and Recruitment coordinators through training, 1:1 coaching and PDR\'s.
  • Support wider Recruitment project work, linking in with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation across recruitment outputs and services.
Main Duties

To ensure Recruitment transactional requirements are met effectively through business focused customer service solutions, using the most appropriate processes and resources.
Managing the team activities including:
  • Recruitment end to end process facilitation and administration.
  • To advise colleagues on system activity or University policy and procedures when required.
  • First point of escalation for complex queries, cases and outcomes for the wider HR community.
  • Producing and analysing reports to effectively drive team activity, structure and deliverables. Managing and monitoring team performance to ensure consistency in approach and a people centred approach is embedded.
  • Coach and develop team members to increase recruitment technical competence and capability.
  • Manage and deliver end to end high profile central recruitment campaigns,
  • uUtilisinge innovative methods to attract, engage and select key talent.
  • Supporting with the production and delivery of all strategic recruitment reports for external parties to include; Home Office, University Executive Board and Freedom of Information requests.
  • Work in partnership with Team Leader peers across HR to ensure collaborative working.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Recruitment/HR systems to ensure an effective user experience for managers and candidates.
  • Monitoring and reviewing performance SLAs\' and KPIs individually and as a team.
  • Horizon scanning of external market to assess changes, opportunities and developments for wider implementation.
  • Support colleagues with the creation of the guidance documents/intranet/workarounds for systems and ensure process maps remain up to date.
  • Ensuring the values and behaviours framework is active within the office and being followed by individuals.
Person Specification or Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Significant practical experience in recruitment team management.
  • Demonstrable operational recruitment knowledge and experience of operating within a shared service environment.
  • Strong working knowledge and application of up to date employment legislation.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders internal to HR and external.
  • Proven experience of using applicant tracking software and human resources information systems.
  • Experience of process and service improvement methodologies and practical implementation.
  • Experience of delivering or supporting complex or high profile recruitment campaigns.
  • Demonstrable experience of utilising social media platforms to enhance recruitment campaigns and activity.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills required across all levels.
  • Experience of driving change across embedded ways of working by championing preferred ways of working.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing operational activity that links directly into key recruitment and HR strategies.
  • Desirable experience of the recruitment applicant tracking system, Oracle Recruit.
  • Desirable experience of working in partnership with recruitment /advertising agencies .
