Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Recycler Operative to join our dynamic waste management and recycling team. This position offers an engaging environment where your physical skills and dedication make a real difference every day.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to transport and manage recyclable materials safely and efficiently Load and unload recyclable waste using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed Conduct routine cleaning of work areas, machinery, and recycling facilities to maintain hygiene standards and operational efficiency Assist with sanitation tasks by sorting recyclables from waste streams and removing debris from work zones Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly to move bulky or heavy recyclable items with proper technique and safety measures Monitor equipment operation, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during heavy equipment operation or manual handling

Requirements

Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as recycler vehicles is essential. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to waste management or recycling is a plus Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and sanitation procedures Excellent attention to detail when handling recyclable materials and maintaining cleanliness standards Valid certification for forklift operation or heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency
