Job Summary

5s Football is the largest 5aside football league provider in Sussex and as such are looking for committed referees to officiate at their sessions.

5s' have an excellent reputation for organisation and communication with players and have a 0 tolerance for bad behaviour, therefore referees so should feel assured that officiating at their sessions comes with respect and a game played with a good spirit.

Sessions run Sunday - Thursday at various locations around Sussex

If you're interested in either a permanent or ad hoc basis then please get in touch. Applicants must have refereeing experience and prefereably a related qualification.

Duties

Officiate games and ensure adherence to the rules and regulations of the sport. Maintain control of the game by enforcing rules consistently and fairly. Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators regarding decisions made during the game. Monitor player behaviour to ensure safety and sportsmanship throughout the event. Prepare for games by reviewing rules, regulations, and any specific guidelines relevant to the event. Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on rule changes and improve officiating skills. Provide feedback to players on their performance in a constructive manner when appropriate.

Experience

Previous experience as a referee or official in relevant sports is a requirement Strong knowledge of the sport's rules and regulations is required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. A passion for sports and promoting fair play among participants. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
