The role
As a Reference Content Editor, you will develop and maintain content in a range of formats that supports people professionals in their roles, in improving work and working lives, and staying on top of critical issues. This content covers topics such as productivity, performance management, employment law, wellbeing and fair pay.
You will join a team of editors, collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver engaging, relevant and up to date resources for CIPD's global network of over 160,000 members and customers.
What you'll be doing

• Owning and managing the development, delivery and maintenance of assigned content.
• Maintaining and updating assigned content, linked with other CIPD outputs where appropriate, to ensure relevance and timeliness.
• Developing content ideas that align with customer needs and business goals as directed.
• Commissioning authors and/or experts to produce content to a specified brief, managing that process and editing it in line with the CIPD values and tone of voice guidelines.
• Accurately publishing and updating content.
• Working with other editors to ensure content maximises audience impact and reach and is published in a timely way.
• Gathering, monitoring and using customer feedback, audience insight and analytics, to adapt existing and develop new content.
• Maintaining current awareness of topical developments and customer insight and integrate this knowledge in updating content as required.

What you'll need to be successful

• Extensive editorial experience.
• Highly-organised, able to multi-task and plan work and content management effectively across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent writing, editing and project management skills.
• Ability to assimilate a broad base of knowledge and create clear, accurate content
• A good understanding of the online content environment, content management systems and digital technologies, including the use of AI in content ideation and creation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an agile team and to tight deadlines.
