About the role
The purpose of this role is a salesperson to primarily cover the north of England, ideally with sales experience within a merchant market. This role would be predominantly to create new business opportunities as well as existing account management. It will include travel and some overnight stays.

What will you do?
Key Responsibilities
Grow sales and profitability within the Construction Board Division and create new opportunities for the wider BEWI UK portfolio of products.
The key objectives are to grow our sales through many categories with the emphasis on new merchant and indirect new build residential business and extend the range sell within both our existing customer base and new customers.
Provide strategic input and work with the UK Sales Team.
Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager Merchants - UK.
Build strong customer relationships and leverage these to support our NPD and to explore cross- division synergies and build the region within both the Insulation & Construction business.
Endeavour to always raise standards and model best practice.
Essential Tasks
Take on the responsibility for the BEWI merchants and residential new build and end users and/or distributors.
Build on, and develop good understanding and knowledge of the construction products sector: market forces, key drivers, supply chain issues, key players, product requirements and so on.
Develop annual sales plans.
Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge about relevant products and applications.
Provide marketing input from the customer base including but not limited to social media.
Review and improve our current processes and work through a CRM platform.
Your profile
The individual must have the right of residence and to work in the UK, plus a full driver's license.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales/business development management.
Experience in selling to the construction and merchant market would be advantageous together with all an understanding of solution selling in the construction and insulation world.
Excel skills and experience of a range of software packages is an advantage.
Strong understanding of customer relationship development, market dynamics and requirements.
Entrepreneurial, inquisitive and creative and be prepared to travel with the likelihood of overnight stays.
