Information about the role

To provide real time intelligence support to the CTP Operations Room Manager (Based in the West Midlands) and CTP Wales Surveillance Team leader for operations in Wales whereby the West Midlands CTP Operations room do not have access to local Command & Control and local territorial police systems. To research intelligence and information in a timely manner from various sources. To assist with other duties in CTP Wales when not required to be undertaking RISO duties due to operational reasons

Responsibilities will include

To carry out general administrative duties To operate associated machinery/equipment which may include associated information systems and telephones, within specialist units/departments May monitor allocated budget Receive and respond to enquiries from customers, including complex queries related to area of work To present a positive image and service to both internal and external customers Maintain confidentiality in relation to data protection issues and Management Of Police Information standards Follow, create and amend processes for use by self and others related to area of work May check stock levels and request supplies Create, store, maintain, retrieve and update records/data both manual and electronic on a local and national systems Based on a specific brief write and present findings or information to include recommendations and actions To gather and collate research information for self and others




In addition, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.
