Job overview

The Regional Manager will be responsible for delivering a truly integrated facilities management solution which has ownership of the strategic interface with the client and development of key stakeholder relationships at its heart. The result will be cultural alignment with the client, service excellence and quality performance management, as well as the capability to maximise value add, synergies and future opportunities.

Main duties

  • Assuming P&L responsibility for the Region they are assigned, the appointed candidate will lead the overall management of the performance, operational and financial aspects of the Region.
  • Possess the ability to work within a Mitie and Client matrix style of management with multiple stakeholders and business units.
  • Develop the account into a \'best in class\' example to be admired by the industry - demonstrating the value and transformational change that IFM adds and continues to add to the business.
  • As the primary client interface, you will build strong and sustainable relationships with senior Client stakeholders and suppliers, and leverage those you have internally to ensure you always profile best practice from across IFM.
  • Challenge, inspire and enable a senior team to excel in delivering clear business objectives and providing strategic management information to drive efficiencies, savings and a holistic strategic approach.
  • Drive total ownership of your region - with measurable and sustainable improvements to the efficiency and consistency of service delivery.
  • Champion a culture of customer service excellence, innovation, operational focus and performance measurement and lead by your own example.

  • With a background in FM, you understand the importance of culture, people and the personal touch. Regular communication, feedback and face to face meetings at all levels with both the clients and the Mitie team are a vital part of this as well as the ability to translate the strategy tobe fit for purpose for differing local needs.
  • Strategically strong, you will identify, assess and drive the development of new opportunities to add value on top of the existing contract, in line with the Company client\'s vision.

What we are looking for
  • Qualified to degree\\post grad diploma or a IWFM recognition would be preferable.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Experienced in contract compliancy where KPI performance is the audited measure of success.
  • Have a strong understanding for procedures RAM, Contractor Management, be able to interpret complex SOPs SLA and how they are applied to the daily management of the business.
  • Strategically strong, a clear passion for growing relationships and opportunities.
  • Passionate about developing strong teams through succession planning, 121\'s and creating opportunities for your team to thrive and succeed.
  • Have a desire to lead, and a complete willingness to take accountability and responsibility.
  • A sophisticated relationship builder that\'s familiar with complex multi stakeholder environments, you are able to evidence having initiated and maintained long-term partnerships with clients.
  • Energetic and determined, with a strong desire and focus to deliver added value and exceed clients and Mitie business targets.
  • Demonstrable P&L experience and a high degree of commercial acumen to play a full part in directing and leading the growth of the business.

  • Candidates will ideally have both a soft and hard element to their background and a strong affinity for the services that MITIE IFM delivers.
  • A hands-on operator, who is able to evidence leading and implementing operational excellence across people, process and systems.
  • Experience of working within a broad service environment and managing operations and client and end user relationships is highly desired.
  • Inspirational and overwhelmingly customer focussed, with a pedigree of leading, mentoring and inspiring a senior team.
  • Have clear and high impact communication and presentation skills, with the cultural empathy and emotional awareness required to operate successfully at a senior level.
  • Suitable to obtain BPSS and SC security level clearance.
Health and Safety responsibilities
  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
