We are seeking a highly motivated and organised
Regional Operations Manager
to oversee and support the day-to-day operations of our multi-branch retail business. This role blends hands-on operational support with strategic involvement in performance improvement, sales growth, and team development.
The successful candidate will be the key link between the business owner and shop managers, ensuring
consistency, accountability, and strong results across all locations.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be out in the shops, fixing issues, coaching managers, and driving performance.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Communication
Act as the first point of contact for shop managers.
Ensure clear and timely communication between the business owner, shop managers, and store teams.
Motivate and support managers to foster a high-performing, cohesive team culture.
Lead regular manager meetings and report key findings and action points to leadership.
Hold managers accountable for KPIs and operational standards.
Operational Oversight
Visit each store weekly/fortnightly to audit standards, merchandising, and customer experience.
Ensure new product launches and promotions are rolled out consistently.
Respond to and resolve shop-level issues, including staffing, maintenance, IT and urgent stock needs.
Oversee scheduling of key compliance tasks (e.g. PAT testing, H&S checks).
Manage supplier issues, deliveries, and stock management processes.
Performance Improvement
Develop and implement strategies to boost sales, customer satisfaction, and Google reviews.
Provide hands-on support to address service issues or complaints.
Identify training gaps and organise coaching or development programmes for managers and their teams.
Roll out operational improvements and standardised processes across all shops.
Ad-Hoc & Strategic Tasks
Compile weekly/monthly KPIs and report to the business owner.
Take ownership of time-sensitive operational emergencies to reduce disruption.
Support with audits, documentation, and shop-level reviews as needed.
Lead special projects (e.g. new systems, marketing initiatives, maintenance plans).
Requirements
Proven experience in multi-site operations, retail area management, or a similar role.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Strong people manager - can balance support with holding managers accountable.
Proactive, hands-on and able to problem-solve quickly.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Able to travel weekly to all branches and respond flexibly to business needs.
Familiarity with basic IT systems (Excel, WhatsApp, general admin tools).
