JOB MISSION:
A true business partnering role coupled with hands on delivery, this role is responsible for utilizing global talent strategies and frameworks to support a learning and development strategy for the EMEA region. The regional strategy will reinforce the organisation's business goals, enable associate growth and build high performance talent for the future.
In summary, this role encompasses:
partnering to identify the needs of the business now and in the future
giving input into the design of global programmes and making adjustments for local nuances
some local design where there is specific regional needs
facilitation, delivery and evaluation of impactful learning and development experiences.
The scope of this role covers associates across Europe in corporate and retail management roles and will work closely with the Global Talent Centre of Excellence to leverage resources and share best practice.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Develop and implement a regional talent development strategy to promote a high performing workforce with the capabilities needed now and in the future.
Develop strong connections and work closely with the Global Talent COE to utilize/leverage resources for the region, especially the Senior Managers for L&D, Talent Management, Key Talent Development, DE&I, Change Management.
Provide input to the Global Talent team to ensure regional needs are recognized and considered in global programmes.
Work closely with the HR team and managers throughout the region to identify regional talent requirements.
Partner with the HR BP team in their work to develop succession and career plans which meet future business needs.
Serve as an internal consultant to the business on talent and development topics.
Lead the regional DE&I strategy with a specific responsibility for the design and development of any DEI related learning and development programs; collaborating and leading a committee of DE&I associates to enhance our regional DEI initiatives.
Conduct needs assessments, set measurable objectives and provide date driven recommendations for regional learning topics, curriculums and solutions.
Stay updated on trends in learning and talent management and continuously develop knowledge base of concepts, models and approaches.
Creatively design and deliver modern learning programmes and experiences in a variety of formats including self-directed, instructor-led, digital, networking, mentoring, integrated to the flow of work, 'train the trainer' and blended approaches. Note that the majority of design work is delivered by the COE.
Develop, implement and deliver programmes which effectively support and enhance business objectives and reinforce the company's mission and culture.
Work with department managers to continually reinforce goals of training programmes.
Budget management and sourcing of external funding where appropriate.
Provide on-going reporting and data on training uptake, knowledge transfer, associate learning experience, business impact and return on investment to inform decision making.
Share best practice with Talent Development Partners from other regions
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Experience
Experience working in a large, global, matrixed organization with a center of excellence model for talent development.
Experience of operating in a European environment is desirable but not essential if you have a good understanding of cultural differences.
Experience in translating high level business strategies into training and organizational development programmes.
Demonstrated experience in regionally leading a talent development/talent management function.
Demonstrated experience delivering learning experiences through a variety of formats including in person instructor led; virtual instructor led; self-directed learning paths and advanced facilitation.

Education
