Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supervising care home staff, managing care plans, compliance with a strong focus on providing exceptional support to residents, including those with dementia. This role requires a proactive leader who can ensure the highest standards of care and compliance within the home.

Duties



Supervise and manage a team of care staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health regulations. Provide support and guidance to staff in delivering high-quality home care services. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, promoting their dignity and independence. Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards. Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in dementia care and other relevant areas.

Requirements



Previous experience in a supervisory role within a care home or similar environment is essential. A or relevant qualifications in health and social care is preferred. Strong knowledge of care plans, medication administration, and best practices in assisted living. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Compassionate approach to caring for individuals with diverse needs, particularly those living with dementia. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with residents, families, and professionals. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance within the home through auditing. Must be computer literate. Knowledge in electronic care plans is required.
