We are a family run care home that caters for 22 residents. We are looking for a nurse to join our team to become the Registered Manager.

Job Overview

To undertake professional responsibility for leading, supporting and facilitating the nursing and medical needs of the service users.
To provide supervision to the nurses and carers within the team ensuring that areas of good clinical practice are embedded.
To maintain skills at a current level and undertake required training and development.
To perform in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Provider and to follow legislative requirements, relevant regulations and accepted best practice.

Role- specific Duties

Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.
Ensure all recording systems and organisational documentation are of a high standard and kept up to date.
Audit care plans to ensure residents receive quality personalised care.
Take the lead on CQC inspections and the required paperwork to be submitted.
Undertake regularly clinical audits to include: infection control, medication, pressure ulcer, accidents.
Take part in the weekly care home ward round with the GP and liaise with other professionals as needed.

Person Specification

General Nurse fully registered with the NMC.
Management Experience is essential.
Computer literate- able to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft office and other software packages.
Previous experience of care home employment desirable but not essential.
