This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and help shape a person-centered service from the ground up. The home will initially support up to
6 residents
, with plans to expand to
10 rooms
, and we are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a long-term impact in the local community.
Job Summary
As the Registered Manager, you will have
overall operational responsibility
for the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality care. You will be key to the
preparation and registration of the home
, working closely with internal teams and external bodies to ensure the home is ready for opening.
You will:
Lead the
mobilisation and setup
of the new service, including staffing, policy implementation, and readiness for inspection.
Oversee the
day-to-day operations
, ensuring effective staff management and shift allocation.
Supervise and support a team including
Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Senior Support Workers
.
Ensure services are
person-centered
, safe, and compliant with
CQC regulations
.
Be responsible for
developing and implementing in-house policies
, fostering a positive and healthy working and living environment.
Ensure the health, safety, protection, and well-being of both residents and staff.
Monitor service quality
, taking proactive steps to maintain and improve CQC ratings.
Promote a
culture of learning
, leading staff development through effective inductions, coaching, and performance management.
Continuously improve your own practice and stay updated with best practices and legislation.
Duties
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices.
Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care, providing training and guidance as necessary.
Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, coordinating with healthcare professionals for medication administration and other medical needs.
Foster a positive environment that promotes dignity, respect, and independence among residents.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
Engage with families and stakeholders to provide updates on resident progress and address any concerns.
Participate in management meetings to discuss operational improvements and strategic planning.
Skills
Extensive experience
supporting people with
Learning Disabilities and Autism
.
Proven background in a
Registered Manager
role within a CQC-regulated service.
Strong understanding of
CQC compliance
and experience maintaining or improving inspection ratings.
Passion for building services from the ground up and developing high-performing teams.
Ability to write, implement, and monitor in-house policies and procedures.
A
car driver
based locally in or near
