The Ofsted-Registered Care Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and day-to-day operations of a children's residential home or care setting in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015. The role ensures high-quality care, safeguarding, and outcomes for children and young people, maintaining compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the home meets all Ofsted requirements and achieves high inspection ratings.
Provide leadership and supervision to care staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
Manage budgets, resources, and administrative systems effectively.
Liaise with external professionals, families, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure staff are trained and operate in line with legislation, policies, and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Significant experience working in children's residential care.
Strong understanding of Ofsted standards, safeguarding procedures, and the Children's Homes Regulations.
Ability to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
