The Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced

Registered Children's Manager

to lead one of our larger residential homes, supporting up to five children. This is a pivotal role requiring strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable young people. You'll be instrumental in creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and empowered and where staff feel valued, respected, and inspired.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the day-to-day management of five children in our residential children's homes under one registration Develop and maintain personalised care plans that reflect each young person's unique needs and aspirations Provide clear leadership and direction to a dedicated care team, fostering a culture of respect, learning, and high standards Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted and all relevant legislation Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and development for both young people and staff Lead staff development initiatives, including training, appraisals, and mentoring Build strong, professional relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders

About You



Minimum of five years' experience in managing children's residential services or similar Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential A proven leader with excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding protocols, child protection legislation, and Ofsted standards Committed to delivering outstanding care and continuously improving service quality Able to create a positive, empowering work culture where staff feel supported and flourish in their roles
