We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Children's Manager to oversee the operations of our children's care facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all children receive the highest standard of care in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in senior care, particularly with children who require specialised attention, including those with conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer's. You will lead a team of professionals, ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and that the wellbeing of each child is prioritised.
Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the children's care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Supervise and support staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Conduct regular assessments of children's health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
Foster a positive environment for both staff and children, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care.
Ensure that staff receive ongoing training in areas such as dementia care, nursing practices, and management techniques.
Experience
Proven experience in assisted living or children home settings is essential.
Background in nursing or senior care with a focus on children's needs is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in management or supervisory roles within a care home environment.
Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care practices is beneficial.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team effectively.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plan development is required.
