Brokerfy Recruitment is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a respected UK-wide care group for the launch of a brand-new 3-bed children's home in Leicestershire, set to open in August. This is a rare and rewarding opportunity for an experienced and passionate care leader to take ownership of a new service from day one, helping shape a therapeutic, nurturing environment for children with emotional and behavioural needs.
You'll be the driving force behind the home's registration, staffing, and early success creating a culture that promotes recovery, independence, and long-term wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the home launch and registration process in compliance with Ofsted and all regulatory standards
Recruit, train, and inspire a brand-new team to deliver outstanding child-centred care
Oversee safeguarding, care planning, and staff supervision
Act as a mentor and role model, developing a strong and stable team culture
Manage budgets, audits, and operational systems to ensure financial and service sustainability
Work closely with local authorities, social workers, and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for young people
Participate in the on-call rota and lead the service with flexibility during its launch phase
What We're Looking For
Experience:
At least 3 years in a senior role within a children's residential care setting
Qualifications:
Level 4 Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Skills & Attributes:
Proactive and compassionate leadership
Strong safeguarding, compliance, and regulatory knowledge
Excellent people management and staff development skills
Financial awareness and service oversight
Full UK driving licence
Flexibility to support the demands of a new service launch
