Our client is a vibrant children's care home designed to be a true home-away-from-home for young people aged with complex behavioural needs.

Nestled in a peaceful neighbourhood in Telford, our beautifully decorated home combines cosy comfort with fun-filled spaces from bright, personalised bedrooms to a creative arts and chill-out room.

We are keen to speak with an accomplished manager with a deep understanding of the complexities and rewards of working with young people in residential care. You must have a wealth of knowledge in safeguarding, child development, emotional and behavioural support, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that every aspect of the home operates to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities



As the Registered Manager, you will:

Lead the development of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and delivering high-quality care. Build and manage a team of committed careworkers, fostering a positive and supportive culture. Oversee all elements of the home's operations, including safeguarding, care planning, quality assurance and recruitment. Build strong relationships with young people, families, staff, external agencies, and commissioners Manage budgets effectively and ensure the home meets both operational and financial targets.

What We're Looking For:



Essential:



NVQ Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements A working knowledge of supporting children with EBD needs Proven management experience in a similar environment A genuine passion for working with children with complex behavioural needs

Desirable:



NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent Established network within West Midlands children's services Willingness to shape policies, team culture, and recruitment strategy
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
