Your Role As A Registered Manager:
Lead with Vision and Integrity
: Ensure children receive personalised care that supports their individual needs, fostering an environment where safety, respect, and aspiration are the focus.
Advocate for Children and Staff
: Act as a voice for both the children and your team, ensuring a home environment that promotes safety, respect, and opportunity.
Empower Your Team
: Lead your team to deliver therapeutic, child-centred care while mentoring and supporting staff development through coaching, supervision, and training (including QCF Level 3 facilitation).
Maintain Excellence
: Ensure the home maintains its
"Outstanding"
Ofsted rating while focusing on continuous improvement.
Drive Child-Centred Practice
: Promote and embed child-centred care and communicate effectively with families and professionals.
Oversee Operations
: Manage the home's operational aspects, including safeguarding, care planning, compliance, and team development.
Commercial Development
: Cultivate and maintain relationships with
commissioners
and
social workers
, ensuring the home's sustainability in a commercially challenging space.
What We're Looking For:
Experience
: You will ideally have previously been a Registered Manager with a background in Learning Disabilities and experience of managing complex needs such as ASD
Qualifications
:
+ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce
+ Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Management qualification).
Strong Knowledge of Legislation
: Understanding of The Children Act 1989, Children's Home Regulations, and Ofsted Standards.
Budget and Financial Management
: Experience of managing budgets and financial processes.
Full Driving Licence
: Essential.
Flexibility
: Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties as needed.
