An stimulating and rewarding opportunity have arisen for a Registered Dental Nurses within our friendly and enthusiastic outpatient team.
We are an acute hospital outpatient department treating adults and children with a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions, including orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial injuries, oro-facial cancer, disorders of the Temporo-Mandibular Joint, salivary gland disease and many others.
To be successful in joining our team, you should be flexible, well organized, with a professional friendly manner & demonstrate excellent communication skills. You should be able to use your own judgement to resolve issues, and have a tactful, sensitive approach to dealing with occasionally difficult situations. Overall purpose of post
To assist the Clinicians within the specialty. This will include Oral Surgeons, Orthodontists, Restorative and Cleft Specialists.
Promoting & coordinating the delivery of evidenced based care to these groups of patients.
Be accountable for the wellbeing of a patient during and after treatment.
Assist the Principal Dental nurse & Department Sister in the day to day management of the department.
Work together with the entire multi disciplinary nursing team in developing a team that meets the needs of the patients effectively and efficiently.
Communicate effectively with the Outpatient Department Multi-Disciplinary and relevant Primary Care teams.
Develops and performs additional nursing roles that are necessary to the needs of the OMFS outpatient group following appropriate education and training.
Work at all times within the General Dental Council 'Scope of Practice' (2002).
