Are you a senior manager within a children's residential home and looking for a new challenge as a Registered Homes Manager? We are currently looking for a Registered Homes Manager for one of our open children's homes in Seaford.
Homefield Cottage is a Children's residential home that has 4 beds. It looks after children aged from 11-17. And works on the ethos that we put children at the heart of everything we do. As a Registered Homes Manager you will have overall responsibility of the running of the home to ensure that the children can live in the best environment to help them reach their full potential. The person who undertakes this role will be leading an established high performing team in an already excellent environment and will be able to make positive impact to the children who need it most.
Key responsibilities will include:
Act as an effective Manager in line with requirements of the Ofsted inspection framework.
Take care of the safeguarding and welfare of young people in your care.
Improving the outcomes for young people in relation to their health (physical and mental), education, employment, social and transition to adulthood.
Manage practice development and performance of the team.
In order to carry out this crucial role, we are looking for candidates who have:
Minimum of a level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and willingness to complete a level 5 Diploma within 2 years, if not already held, as outlined in Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
Effective leadership, staff supervision and management skills, including team building, development of staff and experience of providing professional and reflective supervision to the staff team
Significant previous experience of working with children and young people in care in a residential setting as outlined in the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
