About the Role



We are seeking an experienced and compassionate

Registered Manager

to take the lead at

Cleeve Court

, a well-established residential care home in Bath, supporting up to 45 older adults, many of whom are living with complex or advanced dementia.

This is an

interim position

offering immediate start. You'll oversee the daily operations, lead a team of approximately 70 staff, and ensure high standards of person-centred care and regulatory compliance.

You'll be based on-site and supported by

two Deputy Managers

and a group of Senior Support Workers. This is a key leadership role that requires strong experience, excellent people skills, and the ability to handle a fast-paced care environment.

Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Management



Lead the overall management of the care home and be the Registered Manager with CQC responsibility. Provide leadership and support to Deputy Managers, Senior Support Workers, and the wider staff team. Promote a positive, person-centred culture across the service. Manage staff rotas, absence, performance, and disciplinary matters where necessary.

Care Quality & Compliance



Ensure high standards of care are maintained, in line with

CQC regulations

and

council policies

. Monitor care plans to ensure they are reviewed regularly and reflect individual needs. Lead on audits, inspections, safeguarding, and quality assurance. Liaise with professionals, residents, families, and commissioners to ensure satisfaction and high standards of service.

Operational & Financial Oversight



Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and meet residents' physical, emotional, and social needs. Support with budget management decisions and ensure efficient use of staffing and resources. Be responsible for accurate record-keeping and meeting reporting requirements.

Service Development



Work collaboratively with internal teams, NHS partners, and other external agencies. Support ongoing service improvements, staff training, and induction processes. Contribute to the development of policies and operational processes within the home.

What We're Looking For



Previous experience as a Registered Manager

or in a similar leadership role in a residential care or nursing home. Proven track record in managing services for older people, especially those living with

dementia

or complex needs. Strong working knowledge of

CQC standards

, safeguarding, and health and safety legislation. Experience leading and managing staff teams, performance management, and development. Confident in handling audits, external inspections, and liaising with health and care professionals. Able to make confident decisions, manage priorities, and remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications & Requirements



Essential:



Registered Manager Award, NVQ Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 2 years' management or supervisory experience in a care setting. Knowledge of person-centred care, dementia care practices, and safeguarding procedures.

Desirable:



Experience managing budgets or financial decision-making in a care setting. Up-to-date training in moving & handling, medication, safeguarding, and infection control.

You'll be based full-time on-site at

Cleeve Court

, Twerton, Bath. Participation in the

out-of-hours manager on-call rota

may be required. This is a

temporary agency role

, but with potential to extend depending on recruitment progress.
