Registered Manager - Learning Disabilities Children's Home
About the Role
The Registered Manager will lead a nurturing, high?quality children's home for young people with learning disabilities, ensuring exceptional standards of care, safety, and positive outcomes. This role requires a confident, values?driven leader who can build a culture where children thrive and staff feel proud, supported, and inspired every day.
You will be responsible for the overall management of the home, including regulatory compliance, safeguarding, team leadership, operational excellence, and the creation of a warm, structured environment where every child's individuality is celebrated.
Key Responsibilities, Leadership & Culture
Provide strong, compassionate leadership that models professionalism, empathy, and high expectations.
Build a positive, inclusive culture where staff feel valued, motivated, and supported to deliver outstanding care.
Lead by example in promoting dignity, independence, and meaningful experiences for children.
Regulatory & Quality Standards
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and all safeguarding requirements.
Maintain robust governance systems, audits, and quality assurance processes.
Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections with confidence and clarity.
Care & Support
Oversee the development and implementation of personalised care plans.
Champion a child?centred approach that prioritises safety, emotional wellbeing, communication, and independence.
Work closely with families, social workers, education providers, and health professionals.
Operational Management
Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, and performance to ensure a stable, skilled, and motivated team.
Oversee budgets, resources, and operational planning to ensure the home runs efficiently and safely.
Ensure the home environment is welcoming, safe, and reflective of the children's needs and personalities.
Safeguarding
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for the home.
Ensure safeguarding is embedded in every aspect of practice, with clear reporting, training, and oversight.
Qualifications & Experience
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
Experience working in a children's residential setting, ideally with learning disabilities.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour support, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team.

Pay: 55,000.00 per year
