Purple Hill Homes is seeking a passionate, experienced, and motivated
Registered Manager
to lead our new children's home, Lavender House, supporting up to three children aged 8-16 with emotional and behavioural needs (EBD). This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape a home and team culture where children can thrive and heal.
We are also open to applications from
strong Deputies or Team Leaders
who are ready to step up and have the right skills, drive, and qualifications. However,
you must already meet the Ofsted requirement of at least 2 years' experience working in a children's residential care setting within the last 5 years
.
About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
Lead the home with integrity, warmth, and clear vision
Ensure high-quality care and compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
Drive a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach
Manage safeguarding, staff development, rota planning, and multi-agency partnerships
Support children through transitions, challenges, and successes with a child-centred ethos
You Will Need
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential home (within the last 5 years)
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role (e.g. Team Leader, Deputy)
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or willingness to enrol)
A strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning, and Ofsted frameworks
Excellent communication, organisational, and team-building skills
