We are looking for a registered manager for our newest children's home located near Burton hospital that will look after up to 6 young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and learning disabilities (LD). The salary is 70,000 to 75,000 and there is also a bonus scheme.
About the home:
Robert Berwick, our latest children's home is located near to the hospital in Burton Upon Trent in Staffordshire, this six-bedroom children's home provides a safe, warm, and thoughtfully designed space for up to 6 young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and learning disabilities (LD) and has on-site education which sits in its own wing of the property.
The home sits in a neighbourhood with nearby parks, schools, and community facilities, offering a sense of stability and belonging while maintaining privacy and security for the young people in our care.
Inside, the property blends modern comfort with homely character. A large, open kitchen and dining space encourages shared routines such as cooking and eating together and multiple living and social areas offer a social hub. The interior design has been carefully chosen to promote calm, familiarity, and wellbeing.
Each young person has their own spacious studio style bedroom, tailored to meet their individual needs and preferences, with opportunities for personalisation and privacy. Four of these bedrooms have the benefit of individual sitting area, providing a quieter space for reflection. Two further bedrooms provide a kitchenette alongside their studio bedroom living which can support progression into supported living as part of future planning. An additional therapeutic room provides a quiet, comfortable space for one-on-one sessions or self-regulation.

Job overview:
The Registered Manager will lead and manage the home ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to the children and young people. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
The Registered Manager ensures that care plans are tailored to meet the individual needs of each child, promotes their well-being and development, and fosters positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies. They are also accountable for managing safeguarding procedures, staff training, and promoting a culture of respect, safety, and empowerment within the home.
The registered manager will be supported by an operations team who have over 60 years combined experience in children's residential care.
