About the Role
Arborvitae Care Services is seeking an experienced and passionate
Registered Manager
to lead our new 2-3 bed children's home for young people with emotional and behavioural needs. You'll help deliver outstanding care, lead staff, ensure regulatory compliance. You will be required to have extensive knowledge of the following legislation:
Lead a team of staff, ensuring they are supported and trained to an excellent standard to provide high-quality care and support to the children and young people living in the residential children's home.
Engaging with children, setting examples and building excellent rapport to enable independence
Supporting with recruitment, ensuring safer recruitment processes are followed to a high standard
Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare for OFSTED inspections
Develop care plans and oversee safeguarding procedures
Build strong relationships with external professionals and families
Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children ensuring best practice
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Management Role within a Children's residential care setting, with a proven track record of achieving and sustaining Outstanding or Good Ofsted ratings within children's home previously is desirable
Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards
Previous OFSTED registration and strong understanding of care regulations, including MH & DOLS experience
Knowledge of therapeutic care, safeguarding, and behaviour de-escalation
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Driving licence and ability to work on-call
