About the Role



We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Manager to lead and oversee our Children's Services provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and support are consistently delivered to the children and young people in our care. You will be a confident leader with strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and a proven track record of managing children's residential or fostering services.

Key Responsibilities



Provide strong leadership, guidance, and management to staff teams. Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for children. Implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs, promoting positive outcomes for children and young people. Lead safeguarding practices, ensuring all staff are trained and vigilant in safeguarding responsibilities. Manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively to ensure efficient service delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, professionals, families, and regulatory bodies. Drive continuous improvement through staff development, quality assurance, and reflective practice. Prepare and present reports, audits, and performance reviews as required.
Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience working within children's services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Hold or be willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (England). In-depth knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding frameworks. Proven experience of leading teams, supervising staff, and driving positive outcomes for children. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexibly, including participation in an on-call rota if required. A genuine passion and commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
