About the Role:
We are looking for a Registered Area Manager / Contract and Development Manager to work closely alongside the Director and Service Managers to deliver our Business Model and support our services and our CQC Registration. You will be responsible for leading daily operational tasks whilst supervising, coaching and mentoring a management team ensuring you agree relevant performance objectives setting appropriate targets driven by our strategic objectives. You will ensure regulatory and company standards are upheld at all times. You will be an effective leader and work in collaboration with your team, continually ensuring day to day operations contributes to the overall organisations strategic goals including areas of finance. You will be able to perform in an environment that is face paced with an ability for you to adapt to this environment. You will have the ability to problem solve with excellent decision-making abilities.
Responsibilities:
Some of your day to day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Registered Manager for CQC Regulated Services
- Safeguarding Lead for the Company - overseeing all concerns and Safeguarding Alerts
- Contribute to the implementation of business, marketing, and advertising as needed
- Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Working in collaboration to achieve good or above with regulatory body
- Negotiating contracts with social services and health authorities.
- Marketing the accommodation to potential client groups, directly or via social services and other agencies.
- Central contact point for all referrals: To include lead on SPROC net / ADAM system implemented by Haringey Social Services, Barnet Portal for tendering and impending Islington online Bidding system.
- To be Lead on any future e- tendering contracts implemented by the local authorities.
- Assessing potential clients who may be considering coming to live in the accommodation.
- Liaise with Service Managers and Directors to establish the most suitable site to meet the individuals needs.
- Provide new placement support breakdown and support hours documentation to the site prior to the client moving in, briefing and full handover of new client to the staff team and management prior to the client moving in, to provide assistance on move day.
- Negotiate fees in line with cost model of each site and as directed by the Director of each site / service.
- Planning future developments in conjunction with the Directors.
- Preparing information on quality standards this will be reported to the directors in a documented format on 3 key areas - Documentation standards, interview of clients / staff , environment inspection.
- Supporting Managers on individual care / support plans with clients and other members of the staff team.
- Implementing action plans prior to or following audits with Service Managers to ensure a high quality of care is provided.
- Remaining up to date with relevant care standards legislation.
- Managing and monitoring budgets, specifically new sites, hours being delivered, support fees being charged.
- Produce, review and implement policies and procedures in line with CQC requirements .
- Overseeing any new site within the group until a Service Manager is allocated to the post typically once 3 clients have moved into the service.
- Ensuring that all staff are properly trained, supervised and appraised.
- Working with other professionals to develop specialist services, e.g. drug rehabilitation, occupational therapy, specialist teaching, art therapy, etc.
- Overseeing and support service managers in their responsibility for health and safety issues in the accommodation for clients and other staff
- On Call to meet the demands of the needs of the business and its services
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Essential)
Hold a current CQC Registered Manager Status (Essential)
Pay range and compensation package:
This is a full time position - all of our staff work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business, this includes working weekends and evening shifts.
You are entitled to 28 days paid holiday, all training in house, online and external provided when you start your employment with us and throughout the duration of your career with us.
40,000 to 60,000k depending on experience
