Are you an experienced and passionate qualified Social Worker looking for a leadership role that truly makes a difference? We are launching a Family Assessment Centre dedicated to safeguarding children and supporting families to create positive change - and we're looking for a Registered Manager to lead this mission from the front.



About Us:



Our centre will provide residential parenting assessments for families referred by local authorities and the courts. Through professional observation, support, and guidance, we help determine the best outcomes for children - prioritising safety, stability, and wellbeing.

The Role:



As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for:



o? ?Overseeing the day-to-day running of the Family Assessment Centre



o? ?Ensuring the centre meets all Ofsted requirements and remains compliant with relevant legislation



o? ?Leading a multidisciplinary team of professionals



o? ?Providing supervision and guidance to staff, and upholding a high standard of practice



o? ?Ensuring robust safeguarding procedures are always in place



o? ?Delivering or overseeing high-quality, court-ready parenting assessments



o? ?Creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for families



o? ?Managing referrals, placements, and liaising with local authorities and external agencies



Essential Requirements:



o? ?Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)



o? ?Current registration with Social Work England



o? ?At least 5 years post-qualification experience in social care/education/health



o? ?Managerial experience in a residential, safeguarding, or assessment setting



o? ?In-depth knowledge of child protection



o? ?Demonstrative experience of providing assessments in the court arena



o? ?Experience working with courts, preparing reports, and giving evidence



o? ?Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills



o? ?Commitment to trauma-informed and family-centred practice



o? ?Basic experience of compliance, fire regs, legionella testing and to have a level of relevant health and safety qualification/ be willing to undertake



Desirable:



o? ?Previous experience managing a family assessment unit



o? ?Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to undertake)



o? ?Understanding of therapeutic approaches and/or parenting programmes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 50,000.00-70,000.00 per year
