Your Role - Job description
Lead the overall management and performance of the residential home in line with the Statement of Purpose and Ofsted/CIW regulations
Provide effective leadership, support and supervision to the team
Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with legal frameworks
Ensure children's care plans meet their emotional, educational, social, and therapeutic needs
Conduct audits, internal quality checks, and prepare for Regulation 44 and Ofsted/CIW inspections
Manage rotas, staffing levels, handovers, and resource planning
Contribute to budget management and operational decision-making
Promote positive outcomes through trauma-informed, inclusive, and therapeutic approaches
What we are looking for
Essential:
2+ years' experience
in a supervisory or management role within residential childcare
Level 3 Diploma
in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Strong understanding of
child development, trauma
, and therapeutic care approaches
In-depth knowledge of
safeguarding
, care standards, and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015/ Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016.
Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff teams
Confident use of
Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, Outlook)
Full
UK Driving Licence
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan, delegate, and manage a dynamic workload
Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure
