About Us



Kingsway Children's Home is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children in care. We are excited to announce the opening of our second home, registered in July 2025, and are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager who shares our commitment to delivering high-quality care and creating a positive living environment.

Our first home is currently rated 'Good' by OFSTED, and we are now looking for a strong leader to ensure that the same high standards of care and compliance are maintained and developed in our new setting.

Responsibilities



Lead the home in accordance with the Department for Education's Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, including Quality Standards. Ensure children and young people receive care in line with the aims and objectives of the Children Acts 1989 & 2004, the Care Standards Act 2000, and relevant organisational policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all residents. Manage and resolve any client issues efficiently and sensitively. Oversee all aspects of safeguarding, welfare, and well-being of children in placement. Support and participate in childcare planning meetings such as LAC Reviews, Statutory Meetings, Professionals' Meetings, and Child Protection Conferences. Promote a positive culture of learning, development, and professional growth among staff.

Requirements



Essential Qualifications:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or A recognised Social Work qualification (DipSW / Degree or equivalent).

Experience:

At least 2 years' experience within the last 5 years in a role relevant to the residential care of children. A minimum of 12 months' experience in supervising or managing staff in a caring role.

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong understanding of regulatory and legislative frameworks governing children's residential care. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to balance professional, ethical, and operational requirements. Commitment to the ethos, vision, and values of Kingsway Children's Home.
