We are establishing a small, supportive Parent and Child Assessment residential Centre, providing high-quality residential assessments in line with Ofsted regulations. Our aim is to deliver thorough, fair, evidence based and professional parenting assessments, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children while supporting parents to demonstrate and enhance their capacity to care.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead the centre through registration with Ofsted and oversee its day-to-day operation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new service from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on the Ofsted registration process and ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Oversee the quality of care and safeguarding standards within the service.
Provide leadership, supervision, and support to a small team of assessors and staff.
Ensure that parenting assessments are carried out to a high professional standard and within agreed timescales.
Develop and maintain the Statement of Purpose and key policies and procedures.
Establish strong working relationships with local authorities, social workers, and commissioners.
Be available (on a rota/remote basis) to provide management oversight when not physically present.
Requirements
Hold (or be working towards) the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Significant experience working within residential childcare, social care, or parent and child assessment services.
A strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, Ofsted frameworks, and regulatory standards.
Proven ability to manage staff teams and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Ability to commit to part-time hours initially, with flexibility to increase as the service grows.
