Job Description

Registered Manager required for a small, Good rated, residential home for the elderly in the North Greater Manchester area.

Must have previous experience in care homes for elderly people and our preference is for a current/previous CQC registered manager, but we will also consider people with a Deputy Manager/Unit Manager background.

This home is part of a medium sized group of homes, mainly operating in the Greater Manchester area, therefore career progression to larger homes, is available for the right candidate.

This is a good opportunity for someone to manage their first home or for an experienced Manager who wants to step back to a smaller home.

We are a company that values Managers personal time and as such we cap our weekly working hours at 40hrs per week, any time worked over can (and should) be taken back as compensatory rest.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for elderly care and wants to spend time with our residents. Must be a strong leader with good HR skills.

This is not an office based role.

Working hours are 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday (weekends off) with usual on call duties as expected with this kind of role.

Support at Head Office level is available, as well support from a Manager at a nearby home. However you must be willing to work on your own initiative, as we are not a company who micro-manage!

Over the last few years we have invested in the following systems:

- Electronic Care Planning (PCS) which is fully implemented

- Online training, with an automatically populated matrix. All you need to do is check the system from time to time and prompt staff

- Electronic Rota Cloud system - rota planning, annual leave, wages and staff communications are all within this system

Laptop provided and flexible working offered after 2 years service.

Starting salary is negotiable depending on experience.
