My client are seeking an
accomplished Registered Manager
for our newly established Ten bed mental health care home, supporting males aged 18-65 with severe and enduring mental illness and complex needs.
This privately owned and expanding healthcare provider in Greater Manchester, specialises in domiciliary and
psychotherapy
services for individuals with severe and enduring
mental illness
. As part of their growth, they are expanding into residential and nursing care to better support individuals with
complex needs
.
Their misson is to empower individuals aged 18-65 to lead fulfilling lives through personalised care, skill development, and community integration.
About the Role:
As the Registered Manager committed to quality assurance, you will utilise your extensive experience and leadership skills, as you will be responsible for the running of all aspects of the home, ensuring it runs as efficiently as possible whilst maintaining the highest standards of care. With substantial relevant experience and outstanding people management skills, you will have the ability to build effective relationships with your team, residents, their relatives, and the local community. Applications will only be considered from Registered Managers who can evidence good or outstanding outcomes with CQC inspections.
The ideal candidate will have a strong Clinical Operational background and have experience in commissioning a newly opened care home. The successful candidate will be required to be approved for registration by CQC as well as undergo an enhanced DBS check and will be subject to extensive referencing and pre employment checks.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility of the home managing all direct reports and ensuring that it operates above all statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
Driving occupancy in the home.
Implementing policies and procedures.
Responsible for budget management.
Manage the recruitment and training of the team; ensuring training targets are met and team are competent in their roles.
Manage rotas and ensure correct team member levels and skill mix within the home on a continual basis. Lead, support, empower and inspire direct reports to deliver outcomes for the home.
Lead the team to ensure they are all aligned with the companies' visions and values.
Building relationships and communication with residents, relatives and external stakeholders.
Ensure all reporting is completed accurately and on time.
Ensure that all regulatory and statutory requirements are met, and company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Ensure any requirements from internal and external audits are actioned within the timescales required.
Effectively manage risk to always ensure compliance with standards and resident safety
Liaise closely with all Regulatory bodies to build effective relationships. Ensure any requests for information from such Regulatory bodies are responded to promptly
Support colleagues within our Homes to develop the knowledge and expertise required to deliver clinical care in accordance with best practice advice guidance
Conduct competency assessments for key members of the team as and when required, working within personal capabilities and competence
Maintain high standards of care, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
Support staff in delivering care to individuals with severe and enduring mental illness, including those with challenging behaviours, addressing both mental and physical health needs.
Requirements:
About You:
Qualified Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC registration.
Level 5 in Leadership Management (or working towards this)
Experienced in managing a successful care home
Proven experience in a leadership role within a mental health or complex care setting.
Substantial experience managing individuals with complex needs and a strong understanding of mental health issues. Why Join Us?

Experience conducting investigations, writing reports/recommendations, or managing budgets.
Open, encouraging, and able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in leadership.
